MEET A BETTER FEELING
A Better Feeling is a product-based company focused on functional design with a futuristic aesthetic. The brand was created in London in 2018 by Cairo – born Xander Ghost and is driven by the principle of achieving connection, dedicated to creating synergy between product and person through a symbiotic visual identity and material language.
Using transparently sourced Assarée E-Metals, the A Better Feeling X Assarée collaboration tells the story of closing a loop on urban mined precious metals with an impact. Here, e-waste is collected in Africa from landfills in exchange for fair pay and is subsequently recycled adequately in Europe.
MEET KAMUSHKI JEWELLERY
Libyan sisters Mariam and Dania Sawedeg are the design duo behind Kamushki jewellery. They created the brand as a reflection of their multicultural upbringing and inherent love of precious stones. The balance between cultural heritage and the modern twist on traditional symbols gives the jewelry its edge. The designers were recently nominated to participate in the 2020 edition of Fashion Trust Arabia.
Using transparently sourced Assarée colored gems, the Kamushki X Assarée co-designs tells the story of the complex movement’s within gemstone supply chains globally. We produced pieces with colored gems sourced from a small mining collective in Sri Lanka for our limited editions.
MEET FRANZ MARFURT LUCERNE
Franz Marfurt started his career as a young goldsmith at one of Switzerland’s most renowned Jewelers. In the 1970s, he started his own label under his name, to which he added the name of his hometown Lucerne – meaning the city of lights. It was then that his group of friends opened the boutique Vanja Palmers in Zurich, where he would sell his pieces specially created for his inner circle. In the 1980s, he met his wife Anne, and they soon decided to open their own boutique in 1987 in the heart of Zurich, where he still crafts his pieces in his charming atelier.
